14 Things To Do In Orlando Area

<invalid Value> placeholder 14 Things To Do In Orlando Area

Orlando is the perfect destination for a family vacation, romantic getaway or solo trip. The city has something for everyone, from theme parks and restaurants to shopping, museums and sports. Here are 14 things to do in Orlando that will make your trip one you'll never forget:

Discover the Springs

• Visit the springs. The Orlando area has more than a dozen natural springs, which are fed by underground aquifers that carry water from deep beneath the earth's surface to the surface. The water of these springs is fresh and pure, with some even being bottled for sale in stores around town.

• Your choice might depend on whether you want something relaxing (like Wekiwa Springs) or an adventure (like Rock Springs). You can make your way there via car or public transportation; your best bet is probably going with an Uber or Lyft if you're not sure how to get there—or if your hotel doesn't provide transportation!

• While at the springs, be sure to take advantage of their natural beauty by taking pictures and admiring their clear blue waters. Many of them offer hiking trails where you can explore forests filled with wildlife and beautiful scenery; others let visitors swim in their cool ponds while they relax on lounge chairs under shady trees nearby.

Immerse Yourself in Nature at Harry P. Leu Gardens

With more than 20 acres of lush greenery to explore and a dedicated staff to help you navigate through it all, Harry P. Leu Gardens is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Take a stroll down one of three walking paths—the winding Coastal Garden Trail, the dune-like Garden Trail or the terraced Tropical Garden Walkway. The trails are perfect for strolling or even jogging with your pup (it's dog-friendly).

The gardens also feature over 500 plant species including palms, exotic flowers and fruit trees—a true feast for the eyes if you're looking for something pretty to look at while you're out enjoying nature's beauty. And if you like butterflies as much as I do, then this is definitely a place worth visiting!

Take in the View at Lake Eola Park

The lake is surrounded by a variety of shops and restaurants, including the popular Fire House Restaurant. In addition to being home to one of Orlando’s most famous fountains, Lake Eola Park is also home to the Orlando Science Center.

This science center offers more than just educational exhibits—it also hosts movies at night in its IMAX Theater, as well as live performances from local musicians and artists. If you’re looking for something fun and educational for the whole family, this is definitely an option!

In addition to all this excitement, there are several restaurants at Universal Studios: Hard Rock Cafe Orlando; Emeril's Tchoup Chop Restaurant; The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar & Grill; Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.; Wet N' Wild Water Park Restaurant & Bar (open seasonally); and Islands Dining Room at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando (open seasonally).

Explore Winter Park's Historic Charm

Winter Park is a great place to visit. It has a lot of history and charm, and it's full of great restaurants, shops and attractions. The town itself is beautiful, so if you're looking for somewhere to spend the day away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando's theme parks then this is the place for you!

If you love shopping then Winter Park is definitely worth a visit—it's full of boutiques that sell anything from clothing to home décor. If food is your thing then there are plenty of places where you can grab something tasty while exploring Winter Park's historic streets (and if it isn't your thing then maybe just try one bite). And if all that walking around gets too much—or if it’s just too hot outside—then we recommend checking into one of our lovely hotels before enjoying dinner at one nearby restaurant after another (or even better: book yourself an entire weekend away at one charming bed-and-breakfast).

Shop 'til You Drop at Orlando Fashion Square Mall

The Americana at Brand is a four-story shopping mall located in the heart of downtown Orlando. It's home to over 120 shops, restaurants and services including H&M, Forever 21, Zara, Gap, Victoria's Secret and many more.

The mall has a special wing devoted to children with a play area for kids under 12 years old. There are also family-friendly events like movie screenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am; tai chi classes on Tuesdays; "Snoopy Happy Birthday Party" celebrations every Saturday from 11am-4pm; and an ongoing scavenger hunt that runs throughout the week (the "Gifts for Kids" scavenger hunt).

Treat Your Tastebuds to a Tour of Sanford's Riverwalk and Downtown Area

Sanford is one of the oldest cities in Florida, but its rich history hasn't kept it from becoming one of the state's most vibrant destinations. A visit to Downtown Sanford will take you back in time as you witness how this small town has grown into a bustling city with plenty to see and do all year round.

See a Show at the Bob Carr Theater

Another great way to immerse yourself in Orlando culture is through the arts. The Bob Carr Theater is one of the most respected venues, bringing in some of the biggest names in theater, music and dance. With a variety of performances at every price point, there's something for everyone here.

Watch a Rocket Launch from Jetty Park, Port Canaveral or Cocoa Beach Pier

Rocket launches are an experience like no other. At first, it may seem like a distant and intimidating event, but once you’re at the launch site, it’s easy to see how exciting it can be. Watching a rocket launch from Jetty Park in Port Canaveral or Cocoa Beach Pier is one of the best things you can do in Florida.

The schedule for rocket launches usually comes out about six months before each flight and changes depending on weather conditions or technical issues that might arise during flight time. On average there are three to five launches per month; however, sometimes there are no launches planned at all (this happens especially between January and March). If a launch is not possible due to weather conditions or technical issues, SpaceX will hold its next possible launch date if they've already given notice that they're going ahead with their planned flight schedule - these dates typically change weekly as well so always check back on their website before heading out!

You'll pass by some historic buildings like the First Presbyterian Church and City Hall before coming back to where you started at the start/finish area on Lincoln Street just north of Lake Avenue.

Take Art to New Heights by Taking a Friend on an Indoor Skydiving Experience in Kissimmee

If you're looking for a unique way to get some exercise and have fun with friends, indoor skydiving is the perfect activity. The experience is especially great for people who travel to and from Orlando because they can still enjoy the thrill of flight without having to brave the elements.

Indoor skydiving is also a good idea if you have kids in your life who are interested in exploring new heights or simply need an alternative form of exercise. You'll be able to see the world from their perspective by taking them on this zipline adventure!
