9 Coffee Shops You Have to Visit in Miami

<invalid Value> placeholder 9 Coffee Shops You Have to Visit in Miami

One of the things worth being excited about being in Miami is its diverse, rich, and wonderful culinary scene. Not to be left out is the eclectic variety of a bunch of coffee shops almost in every nook and corner of their neighborhoods (and we're not talking about Starbucks here). Miami got them all - from iced and hot coffee, lattes, cold brews, espressos, cortados, cappuccinos to the Tres Leches or Cafe con Leche. There are several boutique specialty coffee places here, much influenced by the Cuban culture.  We've listed 10 of the most “go-to” coffee places around Miami where you can sit, relax, and just enjoy the coffee (or maybe have it delivered to your place, or just take a cup or two to go).  We know that not only one but maybe two or more of these coffee shops will satisfy your caffeine cravings.

So, while at it, sip that favorite coffee of yours and read on.

Panther Coffee

Address: Multiple Locations in Miami

Instagram: @panthercoffee

Everyone in Miami just loves Panther Coffee. Plus, ask anyone around and he surely knows the place. Panther Coffee was the pioneer in specialty coffee in Miami 11 years ago. Today, it continues to grow with the focus solely on its quality. Panther Coffee is much-raved for its brew, espresso, lattes, ready-to-brew coffees, and more. Its menu is extensive. Feel free to go through all their options and taste some of the finest coffees around the world. While having your coffee, grab a tummy-filling breakfast sandwich or savor their delectable pastries to complete the meal. Sit outside if you want the street views. If you're somewhere around the Wynwood Walls, rest by and chill it here. It is near the Wynwood Wall entrance. Aside from Wynwood, you can find this coffee shop in other neighborhoods: Coconut Grove, Miami Beach, W Miami Lobby, Little Haiti, and MiMo or Miami Modern District. By the way, this coffee shop is also dog-friendly.  True Loaf Bakery of Sunset Harbour supplies Panther Coffee's most pastries like oversized croissants, empanadas, and vegan cupcakes. Be sure to taste them and ask to have them warmed up for that perfect combination for your coffee. As a caution: their cold brew may be any coffee addict's favorite but here, it is quite strong.

Vice City Bean

Address: Multiple Locations in Miami

Instagram: @vicecitybean

Vice City Bean has become a favorite Miami coffee destination. Why not? The café is filled with gorgeous artworks made by local artists. This café showcases local art and supports the local community. A cozy neighborhood hang-out, it features many of the classics no one gets tired of like the lattes, cold brews, cappuccinos, cortados, and more. If you're not up for a cup of coffee, you may try their other drink options, such as oat milk, soy milk, and house-made almond milk. Go for the café's baked products and for sure, that will be a perfect combination with your cup of joe. You can have empanadas, croissants, and quiches. Ooohhhh, tempting indeed! Checking out the coffee menu reveals a mix of both the classics and the new ones. Aside from the lattes, espressos, and cortados, you may prefer their matcha and nitro cold brew that you can drink and customize with either macadamia nut milk or house-made almond milk. Try them!  Care for a mint-infused coffee or maybe a lavender tea? Do you have something in mind other than what they offer? You can request it as they're known to customize drinks for their customers.

This café is where neighbors and old friends chat over coffee and pastries. Mind you - these are not only yummy but they're the loveliest sweets, too.

OTL

Address: 160 NE 40th St, Miami, FL 33137, Design District

Instagram: @otlmia

This casual café's name OTL is an abbreviation for “Out to Lunch.” Their equally interesting slogan is “Everyone welcome!” For coffee, there are different choices: vanilla and matcha lattes (complete with stunning art on them) to the cortados, and more. Aside from coffee, they also serve protein-packed salads, sandwiches, and baked goodies. You can have your lunch here, too.  The subdued colors and lovely interiors of this place right in the center of Miami Design District are what make it appealing. This bright café is roomy, with a white backdrop accented by pale blue and pink color themes. Picture the high ceilings and wood furnishings as well. It's as if you would want to spend your full day here just sipping on your coffee and tasting their yummy food. Breakfast fare includes among others: overnight oats, avocado toast, and an egg and cheese sandwich. One awesome lunch option can be a salad or a Manchego and Pear Sandwich with some crunchy plantain chips. A light dish but so tasteful, you will never miss the finer details as well in their food presentations.  The way to do it: order at their modern counter then you're given a domino woodblock as your order's identification. Cool!

Try to have a catch-up with friends here, or if you want to do some work while having coffee and pastries from Zak the Baker, OTL will fit the bill.

Eternity Coffee Roasters

Address: 117 SE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33131

Instagram: @eternitycoffeeroasters

At the heart of Downtown, this is the coffee place where the locals and residents go in between meetings, medical or embassy appointments, usual errands, or any business matters they need to attend to in this hustle-and-bustle portion of Miami. Well, you can always have a to-go latte or cafecito for take-outs or quickly grab a sandwich from their takeout counter if you're in such a hurry. This coffee shop mostly has their coffee beans brought straight from Colombia (this place is after all co-owned by two renowned Colombian coffee growers). Other major sources are the coffee growers in Guatemala and Ethiopia but if you're a caffeine-loving fan, Eternity Coffee Roasters offers their native beans as well and yes, it's so tasteful you will love it the first time.  Their system of a farm-direct trade paves the way for the coffee roasting to offer a farm-to-table experience to have that aromatic flavor in your cup. Nestled in this busy thoroughfare, you will find a sanctuary in Eternity Coffee Roasters' laid-back vibes as well as soothing coffee house music. The interiors of the cafe are so chic while the retro vibe makes you linger on for a while, or you can also choose to have a comfortable outdoor seat for some street scenes.  For weekends, you can see the coffee addicts playing board games over cups of nitro coffee brews which by the way are ready for re-filling on tap.

Plus, there's a variety of milk options to choose from.  Other food offerings on the menu include a mix of soups and salads, sandwiches, and some bakery items.

Even if you've tried House of Per'la's coffee somewhere, nothing beats drinking your cup right inside their café. Combine that coffee with a perfect pair of any of the baked items available for that savory meal. You're set for a delightful experience!

La Colada Gourmet
